Cautious / Volatility risk

My preliminary outlook is for a potentially volatile Friday, with particular attention to whether Thursday’s rally can attract follow-through buying.

Friday’s trading will be influenced by three important factors: interest-rate expectations, profit-taking following the recent advance, and company-specific developments.

October 9 is also the final trading session before the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday on Monday, October 12. The stock market will be open Monday, but the Treasury bond market will be closed.
